Who can save my knees?
I went to a party in March, invited by Angie—a badass, DJ, skater, charismatic, hot (among other adjectives, because I really admire AWESOME women)—and I brought my Olympus AZ 300 Zoom to snap a few photos.
I’m still getting used to this automatic point-and-shoot camera, experimenting here and there, but there’s still more to explore with the double exposure feature, which is currently my biggest obsession.
The color photos were taken with Kodak Gold 200—not the best choice, but the blurry effects and overexposed highlights still gave them an interesting vibe… spontaneous, unexpected.
This party was such a great experiment. The atmosphere was fun and wonderful, with only talented women playing, dancing, and truly loving one another. No strings attached, no prejudices, no fear. It’s good to remember that being with these people did me a whole lot of good. The search for genuine connections is always there, and the photos are a living record of that.
In addition to Kodak Gold, I also used Kentmere 400.
Overlays, flashy lights, movement, maximalist decorations… And we keep on playing.
Thanks, Angie and the Pinxy Minx Collective, for the knee pain that lasted more than a week after party.
